Notes for HENRY COULSON:
Henry Coulson was married twice. He died in Santa Cruz, California when he was 86 years old. On Nov 7, 1934, Ella V. Coulson, his wife, inherited the land in SD. They had three sons, Bert, Percy & Frank. Two Grandchildren, Robert and Mae Ella at the time of his death, was 65, Frank (son) 46 in Turlock CA, Bert (son) 44 years old, Webster City IA, Percy (son) 38, Pasadena, CA. Ralph died, share went to his children. The grandchildren, Robert age 14, Margaret (also known as Eva Kuhn, age 12 lived in Pasadena, CA. Her husbands name was Frank. The farm was sold to Hattie Coulson and later to Leslie Larson. 1961. Fred and Hattie Coulson bought it together in 1953.

Ralph was dead, so his son (children) got his share. (grandchildren Robert & Margaret) "Robert and Daughter (Eva) Maragret."
Percy sold his share to Fred Coulson, dated Aug 19, 1938, filed Aug 30, 1938.
Robert sold his share to Fred Coulson, dated March 1, 1944, filed March 11, 1944
Eva Margaret Kahn sold her share to Fred Coulson, dated Sept 15, 1944, filed Oct 9, 1944.

Received his schooling in Liverpool, England. Henry and a brother George came to the US early (1874?). Spent a short time in Minnesota where parents joined them. Edward was 19 then. then parents followed. Went to work on a farm in Minnesota, nearl St. Charles. Then Henry came to SD and farmed 1/4 mile north of Jeppe Larson, NE of Erwin. His mother bought a farm just across the road and homesteaded with Edward after father died.

Edward John, William and Henry buried in Santa Cruz, California

Henry and Margaret had four children. Frank, Bert, Ralph, Percy. Margaret & Estelle buried in LP Cemetery. They moved to Santa Cruz California after his wife's (Estelle) death. Remarried Estelle D 1861 - 1916. After that married a 3rd time to Maggie. Maggie and Henry are both buried in California.

See 1900 Census, Hartland Twp, Kingsbury County - Henry was age 50, married 15 years, living with his wife Margaret age 40, sons Frank S. 14, Bert E. 11, Ralph S. 7, Percy L. 3 and a boarder Mary E. Archer age 18.
